![]() I mentioned at the beginning that the Flip 6 was a party animal and that is borne out by the fact the Flip 6 can play for up to 12 hours between charges. They are as reliable as anything I’ve ever used and the upgrade to the latest Bluetooth is good news. ![]() I’ve never come across a JBL Flip that didn’t automatically connect to a smartphone. ![]() The Bluetooth circuitry inside the JBL Flip 6 has been upgraded to version 5.1, giving it more range and robust reception. I think JBL has managed to nail the sound with dual passive radiators underpinning a solid soundstage that works well with any genre of music. The Flip range of speakers has always been great sounding, but the tweeter focuses the music and now brings it into sharper focus which removes the last vestiges of midrange muffle. However, JBL has added a tweeter for the first time which brings a whole new dynamic to the sound. Inside there’s the same racetrack subwoofer that the Flip 5 has.
